NOT EVERYTHING IS COPACETIC IN NATO
Ukraine war: Turkey would not be ‘favourable’ to Finland and Sweden joining NATO says President Erdogan
Recep Tayyip Erdogan hinted that Turkey could use its veto power to block the move. Support for joining NATO has increased in Finland and Sweden in recent weeks, with politicians stating that joining the military alliance would create security guarantees for them.
Finland and Sweden joining NATO is “not favourable” for Turkey, according to the country’s president.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan indicated on Friday that Turkey could use its status as a member of the military alliance to veto any attempts for the countries to join.
“We are following developments concerning Sweden and Finland, but we are not of a favourable opinion,” he said.
The Turkish leader accused Sweden and other Scandinavian nations of supporting Kurdish militants and other groups Turkey considers to be terrorists.
Mr Erdogan added that he does not want to repeat a past “mistake” when Greece was readmitted to NATO in 1980, claiming the action allowed Greece to “take an attitude against Turkey by taking NATO behind it”.

Help me out–what in the name of heaven does “membership” in NATO: actually get these countries?
That Uncle Whiskers will come running to their aid at the drop of a hat?
Got me some ideas; the reason they want ‘in” on NATO–so their own MIC can squeeze and milk their taxpayers. Plus, dontchaknow there’s got to be one hellava boodle of bribes, corruption, and spare cash, whores and drugs for the ‘inductees’ to make the decision easier.
Man–it’s the old “Money talks, and bullshit walks” deal.
Say I’m wrong–please!
