Powder Actuated Devices, by Trevor Zantos

After watching a few different videos on a powder-actuated device, I decided it was something that I must share with the group and see what other clever uses the community could come up with that I had yet to think of. What sparked this section of synapses firing was a reel from Instagram that showed a guy using a powder-actuated device to help break grass differently vs. other tools.

I was introduced to a few other things that you could use this tool for.  In no particular order:

From my brief research, it appears that the best setup is a semi-automatic device that feeds from a strip device that normally holds ten blanks.  When a charge is detonated, a small piston will stick out a little bit, hopefully accomplishing the work required. There are two Major brands, the Ramjet and the Hilti. I have links below. The ramjet is a little cheaper but doesn’t appear to have quite as good of a warranty.  My current plan is to buy whichever one I can find used for a better price and beat that one up for the next several months and see how it checks out.  From my limited research, I’ve seen professionals use both brands, so if you have any input, please add.
