Start with the Children

Reading Scipio’s article, “Be an Agent of Change” this morning while sitting at my desk, in my strangely empty and quiet classroom, firmly in the middle of the month of sexual perversion and mental illness celebration, I was reflecting on the crop of seniors that just graduated and had some thoughts I would like to share. I would like to preface them by first saying that I believe that Scipio succinctly expressed a challenge to all of us that needs to be taken up wholeheartedly. Every single person in this world is susceptible to influence from outside sources, some to a larger or smaller degree than others, but susceptible nonetheless. We are bombarded from all directions in our society today by rot, filth, degeneracy, sloth, vulgarity, and any other form of evil that one can think of. The “woke” crowd are active agents of change promoting those things, and they are extremely persistent and forceful in their endeavors.

Who do they target most consistently? We all know the answer without even having to think about it- the youth, specifically the very young ones. While a young adult is still somewhat impressionable in many cases, they are at least semi structured in their beliefs and ideas. Most adults are going to remain reasonably true to the path that they have set forth upon, absent major life changing events. Young children on the other hand are malleable in their thinking, just as clay in a potter’s hands. The “tolerant” left knows and understands this all too well, while many on the right don’t seem to realize the gravity of this concept. They keep packing their kids off every morning to public schools that in many cases are little more than the leftist indoctrination centers that the “conspiracy theorists” paint them as. If that seems to be a strange statement coming from a public school teacher, keep in mind that I have a full decade in the classroom and have seen firsthand a good deal of change. Even in the ten years I have been in this profession the dynamic of the school system has changed tremendously- some days I scarcely recognize what it has become. Seeing the aforementioned changes firsthand, my own son will be homeschooled- I certainly will not expose him to the mass putrification and decay that is today’s public school system. I am in the profession that I am in not because I believe that public schools are even remotely close to being the best choice for our young people, but primarily for two reasons- one, I actually enjoy seeing my adolescent students learn and grow as individuals. I get to share in their joy of going from young teenagers who aren’t sure what they want out of life, to thriving young adults who are embarking on a journey into adulthood, hopefully with a successful career. I also share in their sorrows and tragedies, just like I did this week when one of my students, a wonderful young lady, passed away in a tragic accident. More importantly than all of that, I do what I do because I care about these young people and I want to do my best to help set them upon a path in life where they have skills, both technical skills and “soft” skills, that will help them work an honest job and provide for themselves and their families. I want to do my best to rob the welfare state of every single subject that I can, as well as robbing Satan of every soul that I can.

I am an “agent of change” in my own small way as I am helping teach these young adults vocational skills and build upon talents that many of them never realized that they even possessed. In some cases, I am able to provide a fatherly influence, or at least a fatherly example, for students who don’t have one. While gratifying, it also helps me gauge my successes or failures when I run into former students who are working and they tell me that what they learned, as well as their welding certifications and OSHA certifications that they earned in class helped them get a job.

My wife and I are currently working to get ready for our Church’s annual vacation Bible school. Once again, we are agents of change in a small way, as we work to influence these young children and affect them in a positive way, in stark contrast to the filth of the world that they are bombarded with at every turn.

Probably the greatest way that I can leave a lasting effect and legacy on the world around me, I spend time with my little boy almost every single day when I get home from work. Most days I take him out with me while I am working around the farmyard, working on tractors and trucks, taking care of the animals, working in the garden, etc. Would most of these tasks be easier without a not-quite three-year-old in tow? Of course, but I am cultivating something infinitely more important than the plants and animals that we are taking care of, and building something much more durable than the tractor engine that I am working on while he is with me.

So why mention some of the things that I try to do to effect change in the youth around me? I promise you, it isn’t for the purpose of bragging of self-aggrandizement, as the things I do scarcely amount to ripples in a puddle in the grand scheme of things. Likewise, I am an imperfect person and I know that I do not, and will not, reach anywhere near all of the students who make their way through my classes. I will fall short for many of them. I see and interact with more young people than most of you as a result of the nature of my career choice. That doesn’t absolve any one of us of the responsibility of causing a change in the world around us, namely through the youngest among us. If you don’t have children of your own, or if yours are grown and living their own lives, you can still have a huge impact. Likewise, you need not be a teacher in a classroom, Sunday school class, or adult education role to make a difference. From my experience in the classroom I can tell you that with near universality, every time I have a problem student, a lazy or slovenly one, a hard working one, a liar, and honest one, a rude/arrogant one, or a humble and polite one, when I meet the parents I understand completely why they are the way that they are. The more positive role models they have to countermand the bad ones that a too-large portion of them have at home, the better.

Men- there are a LOT of boys out there with absent or deadbeat fathers, more than what you probably realize. They need someone to teach them how to be a real man, and a Godly man, as opposed to what “ghetto” culture teaches them, or what feminism tells them a man is supposed to be. Having wine mom raising them alone in front of Blue’s Clue’s pride parades while she pops a few Xanax every night to deal with the stress of breaking up with the latest in a string of dirtbag boyfriends just doesn’t cut it. Nor does having daddy taking a toke while swigging his Bud Light in front of the TV at halftime, getting worked up to smack mommy around a little. Likewise, there are a lot of little girls out there who need a strong father figure to teach them how a man is supposed to treat a lady and teach them that they should settle for no less, so they don’t end up walking around with everything they having hanging out of what passes for clothes, singing the lyrics of “WAP” in between blowing boys in the bathroom because that is what they think it means to be a woman.

Ladies- there are a lot of young girls out there who need a mother. Just because there is an overgrown little girl who birthed them is cohabitating the house they live in doesn’t mean they have someone to teach them how be a lady. They need someone to teach them how to be a classy lady and a loving mother, someone who real men would be proud to have the honor of calling their wife, rather than being raised to be the next generation of drugged out cat ladies who pass their normal street corners and clubs on the way to the abortion clinic every few months. There are countless little boys out there who need a woman to model for them what a young man should look for in a woman, so they don’t end up as Mr. Soyboy taking care of their Instagram-model baby momma’s six children who all have different fathers while she goes out clubbing and spending the night with whatever POS bought her the most drinks that night.

Children deserve better, they need better, and if their parents aren’t doing right by them, you and I must. The left has no problem saying that they should be the ones influencing YOUR children if you don’t bow before the alter of their perversions. Fight them at their own game, I promise you, if we are all committed to it we can beat them at it. We are in an active war, being waged in the homes, hearts, and minds of every family, and we need to be fighting with even more determination and commitment than the enemy. We also should be willing to commit to defending children with the same ferocity that a mother bear would were she to catch you trying to harm her cubs. I won’t detail my thoughts on what should be done with all of the pedophiles, groomers, child molesters, child abusers, and those who seek to harm or corrupt children in any other way, beyond saying that I personally believe that the oft-mentioned treatment of feeding them into a woodchipper feet first is far too kind.

Anyone, no matter who you are or what skills you have, can make a difference and bring about a change in the lives of others, particularly in the youngest out there. You all have people, particularly children, around you who need a positive influence in their lives. The left is actively capitalizing on that truism every day, gradually and insidiously creating a change that we are seeing manifest itself at all levels of our society. The sloth and laziness, sexual perversion, sexualization of children, corruption of the sanctity of marriage, destruction of work ethic and of the working class, and the building of an unprecedented attitude of entitlement in this country, to name just a few things, will only be countermanded by a massive and direct engagement by us.

Every single one of you reading this article has the power to be a cog in that machine, and it is one of the greatest commissions that you have, as well as one of the most difficult, albeit most rewarding. For the lefties reading this, and probably foaming rainbow colored foam from your filthy mouths- you have that same power, although I promise you that I, along with many, many others, will be fighting against your best efforts to our dying breaths, and you WILL ultimately fail. As John 1:5 says in the Holy Bible: “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” The gravity of the punishment you will receive for your wrongdoings will be far above and beyond anything this world can dish out, and I hope that you will realize the massive error of your ways before it is too late.
