As far as we know this bomber’s motivation was not devotion to Islam, and as stated already, his expertise would suggest he would have opted for remote detonation over a suicide attack. I also find it odd that an SF vet would use a lithium car battery and commercial fireworks instead of high explosives.
Could this be one way of laundering off the books Ukraine casualties?
