The Fourth Turning & The Future, As I See It, by Patriotman

At the request of a friend, I took some time to ponder a recent article on The Burning Platform titled 2019 from a Fourth Turning Perspective. He asked me to give my perspective on what 2025 holds and what my plan is. Some people who are much smarter than me convinced me to open up my thoughts to all of you and hear what you think. Do you agree? Did I get something wrong in your opinion? Sound off in the comments!

The Future (as I see it)

By 2025, I expect:

1) War with China and/or Russia

2) Low intensity conflict in the United States. Cities in particular are battlegrounds.

3) Recession in which 40% of the stock market value disappears

3a) Bailouts for Wall Street again

3b) Potential bailout of student loans

3c) Questions surrounding the Full Faith and Credit of the United States. Credit rating is downgraded.

4) Major overhauls of entitlement systems

5) Major anti-gun legislation passed

6) Major demographic shift causing major political shift

7) Democrats control Congress and Presidency in 2024

8) IMF making moves to replace USD as world reserve currency with the SDR currency basket

9) European Union, as it is today, ceases to exist

10) Major civil unrest in Europe.

I think that the article was very closely aligned with my fears. The biggest threats we face as a country are all intertwined (thus, don’t consider this a ranked list) and are: civil unrest due to a growing divide between ideologies, economic slowdowns due to massive debt and employment trends, and outside challenge of the unipolar world by China and Russia.

I don’t think that any of these are the causation for the others, but if I was forced to choose it would be the differing of ideologies that is driving the other two. The urban and rural divide has always been present obviously, but the obvious disconnect between the coastal elites in their ivory towers and those in the hinterlands seems unsolvable at the moment. The problem mostly lies with the former as the latter would like nothing more than for everyone to be left alone by everyone else. It is the liberal elites who insist on forcing their culture, norms, and ideology on those conservatives in rural America and continually try to remake the system in their permanent favor. They attack our religion, our culture, and our lifestyle because they do not approve of it. Hell, the SJW and Leftist culture war being waged is a large part of the problem that rural Americans have with the Left. It doesn’t help that race relations – thanks to Obama – are at the worst since the 1960’s, but I don’t think this is purely race motivated (though the Great Replacement currently ongoing doesn’t help ease tensions). Of course we see a resurgence of black and white nationalisms, but it is no coincidence that the driving ideologies behind those nationalisms are different. Thus, the central problem can be summed up quite easily: the resurgence of Communism.

I think that civil conflict is unfortunately an inevitability. There is no putting the dogs back in the cage, so to speak. The clash today is no longer about issues but about fundamental ideologies. Ideology always drove the arguments, but there was room to compromise without giving up core beliefs. Compromise was enough. On both sides, compromise is only seen as another step in the direction of completely implementing your side’s agenda against your opponent’s best wishes.

From politicians, it seems that it is more and more of the good old divide and conquer strategy. It is amazing to me how populations who make up such a small amount of the actual population get so much air time and attention. As for the class warfare piece of the article, I think that was part of what Tucker Carlson said in his big start of the year speech on his program. The elites are so disconnected that they don’t see that this could very well turn out like the French Revolution because both the extreme Left and extreme Right hate their guts. It’s practically the only thing they agree on.

I think Pelosi and Co. really, really, really underestimate the damage they are doing with the attempt to undo the 2016 election. If they want to remove Trump, they need to remove him through the 2020 election because short of Trump receiving a wad of cash from Putin on video, his supporters will not believe them. It is because the war and the Deep State/Establishment have been at war with him for over two years. If they had treated him like a normal President and not shown their biases, then they could report some bombshell accusation and people would take it seriously. The media and the Democrats, in their blind rage, have really done themselves a disservice because people on the fence who may have believed them now don’t. This lack of faith in the press as only been strengthened by the two recent media foul-ups – Covington, and the Buzzfeed story on Cohen.

There are two fundamentally different visions for the future of this country, and they are wholly incompatible and, to be frank, at the edge of their compromise boundaries. This division will continue to drive the urban/rural conflict – though the cities will be disproportionately affected. These visions will be exacerbated by the coming economic crisis, which is threefold. The first piece is the corporate debt issues that are the reason the stock market is grossly over inflated. The second piece is the burgeoning public sector debt and pension system underfunding in places like California, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Thirdly, the skyrocketing personal debt (student loans, housing market) that will be unpayable will drag consumers down. As the economic system falters, there will be a lot of pain for normal Americans. This will cause their anger to turn to the system and the elites at the top. If the division that exists now is bad, it will only exponentially worsen as economic systems crumble and people find themselves out of work, out of money, and with a lot of time on their hands. Political systems will grind to a crawl and gridlock will prevail. This is not what is needed – especially if we need to face a major financial crisis and need to pass bipartisan legislation.

Our adversaries overseas – namely China and Russia – will seize the opportunity this presents. With America distracted at home, they will engage in both a “fanning of the flames” in the United States as well as overt moves in their spheres of influence. China will secure the South China Sea and the waters between the mainland and the first ring of islands. Russia will regain some ground in Eastern Europe and, with the European Union faltering through their own insatiable lust for globalism, there will be little we can do to prevent it. If we go to war with China and/or Russia, I suspect that we will lose. With China’s hypersonic missiles and anti-satellite capabilities coupled with their electronic warfare and cyber offensive capabilities, I do not think we can defeat them. It would be ground to a stalemate, and the public at home will not stomach major American causalities – in fact, China is planning on just that. If anything, the Leftists in America will cheer China’s moves as a sign that Communism is winning. Russia’s cyber offensive capabilities are also very dangerous, and I imagine that our critical infrastructure – already grossly unprotected – will see more probes and shutdowns. The war against China and Russia will be an attempt by our politicians to unite the country towards a common enemy, but it will not work.

The Plan

My main goals:

1) Relocation

2) Increase weapons experience

3) Increase medical experience

4) Develop robust communications capabilities

5) Aim towards partial self-sufficiency of food and power generation.

The number one item in my plan is relocation. I need to relocate from an occupied state and make it to a more rural location. While I have already increased my networking substantially, I want to integrate into a community before major unrest or disaster so that I can establish the necessary rapport. I want the land and the space to be able to be more self-sufficient, and I want to be able to support family if they need to leave their occupied areas.

I have really struggled (as per my previous article) with being the only one in my somewhat large family preparing. This is a common problem. I am moving from a “have a little bit of everything for everyone” mindset to “get myself kitted out first, then the girlfriend, and then go from there” strategy. If some civil conflict or low level insurgency erupts, I need to have the ability to have the supplies and skills to make myself useful to any larger clan or unit I can attach to and offer my services. I need to stop trying to get everyone at my level of preparedness and instead focus on getting myself to an exceptionally high level of readiness. From there, I can then focus on everyone else.

If I cannot leave before the festivities start, then I must continue with the current plan. Knowing that I am not a gunfighter, and that I will never have the requisite team to be an offensive force, my focus as always been area denial. Of course, you need to understand your Area of Operations long before the storm hits – and that is way more than just looking at some maps and creating overlays. Barbed wire, razor wire, sandbag, steel cables, spike strips, etc are all ways of making your location seem much more protected and dangerous than it is. My current plan (in case of a complete breakdown of society) is to occupy a nearby church building as it has natural gas, solar panels, walk-in fridge and freezer, and plenty of space for everyone. The idea is to stay covert there unless threats are detected, and then place out the defenses I listed above. Eschewing offensive capabilities, however, does not mean that you do not do proactive patrols to detect threats before they arrive at your doorstep. You need to take advantage of force multipliers – a topic often discussed on American Partisan such as here, here and here.

I intend on taking classes at my local community college (where I work) for some IT related jobs and skills in order to try and recession-proof my employment prospects. I still have student loan debt, but I find it may be a better plan of making the minimal payments on it as I gather supplies and save money for the relocation as opposed to making massive payments on it to get rid of it quicker. Once I feel like I am at a sufficient level of preparedness, I can again turn to the loans and begin double payments. This is a point of contention among some in the community that promote debt-free living first. My only answer is that I don’t like the prospect of being debt free with no food or supplies should the Storm arrive. There needs to be a balance struck here, in my eyes.

When the civil unrest begins to peak, I shouldn’t be overly affected by it. My current location, while suburban, is very conservative; of course, any future relocations will take the inevitable unrest into account. Systems disruptions are a concern, so having a large amount of supplies on hand are important. I think that hyperinflation is also a grave concern, but I feel that people like us will see it coming and will accelerate our preps accordingly – this hopefully means you are already set on supplies and just getting as much additional stuff as possible before the USD is worthless. For me, tangible goods and junk pre-1964 silver are my hedges. If and when we go to war with China, I am really concerned that they will affect critical infrastructure. Any attacks on our SCADA or electrical infrastructure could have grave effects on that civil unrest, and their anti-satellite weapons could affect our GPS systems and communications grid.

So, after reading this article, are you ready to get back on track with your training? Time flies. Get to it.

Patriotman, armed with a Master’s of Science, a glass of whiskey, and an AR-15, currently ekes out a survivalist lifestyle in suburban northeastern state as best as he can. He has varied experience in political science, public policy, biological sciences, and higher education. Patriotman, look at the black hills of SD. I just relocated here. Extremely conservative, low welfare, low unemployment, decent job market, good Catholic community, and best of all, no state income tax!

I’ve looked West before, but I find it difficult to make the move with family being so far away. As I said in another comment, the southeast looks more likely. Though ever time I traveled West for work, I fell in love with it out there. Maybe one day…..

      • K in Tenn February 5, 2019 at 19:03

I relocated my family from Western NY to Eastern TN. I know what you’re talking about, and can’t stress enough, do it, and do it now. I pushed it off for years because I was comfortable and thought many of the same things you did about my nice little farming community near Lake Ontario.
Don’t wait, don’t put it off, this summer, at the end of the teaching semester, sell all of your stuff, pack it up, and MOVE. I can happily recommend anything this side of ‘the plateau’, just stay a safe distance from the larger cities, and you’ll do just fine. There are several colleges in this area, and the people are far and wide of the right mindset. Having met many of them through my job these last few years, you really won’t know how different things can be until you take the leap.
I usually use a fake eMail when commenting on websites but did not this time. Please feel free if you have any questions, or want to make a visit. The Great Smoky Mountains are a fantastic part of our country.

          Hey K in Tenn-
I’ll be visiting the Mountain City area this Sept to do some prospecting- any advice you could give would be huge. Looking for a vacation/bug out/retirement property. Unfortunately a permenant move is not currently in the cards for my family and I. As a business owner with young kids I’m pretty well tied to Northeast Ohio for the next 5-10 years. However, my goal is to establish a foothold in your region now making the future transition more realistic.
          Thanks

          • Homer May 23, 2019 at 17:15

H.P. , Considering your situation u may consider southeast ohio as well. Specifically Monroe or Washington county. Pretty rural as far as ohio goes and may be the most practical solution to your problem for the time being. Small amish farms occasionally go up for sale. They are an ideal solution as they are already set up for off grid infrastructure. Food for thought. Take care.

    • sneakybaztard January 31, 2019 at 18:42

how are the property taxes? those can eat up a fixed/saved income even if the property is paid in full.

    • gman January 31, 2019 at 19:04

      “black hills”

and if the sioux tribes demand the return of their sacred territory and the expulsion of all white invaders? will a future president obama say no?

      • Don W January 31, 2019 at 19:42

I don’t think with the population here they would be very successful in repatriating their land. Property taxes are good outside the city. The problem with the south east is hurricanes and welfare.

    Great job Patriotman!

After reading first, Strauss & Howe’s article, then Bracken’s, your predictions and comments are right inline with my thoughts and fears as was theirs.

I fear that with Trump winning the Presidency in 2016, the steam has gone out of the prepper and partisan communities. First understanding the threat (s) and then second, addressing them as finances support. You obviously have not fallen under the siren song of, “All is good as long as Trump is in the White House.” BRAVO!

Thanks for taking the time to write then post your article.

    God Bless Brother!

    • patriotman January 31, 2019 at 12:54

I will admit that for a few months after November 2016 I was sliding into that mentality. I don’t particularly remember what I read or heard that snapped me out of it (could have been an episode of Radio Free Redoubt), but it made me realize that I couldn’t let myself slide into complacency. Too many have already. Hopefully events like Covington and the loss of the House reawaken them.

    • gman January 31, 2019 at 13:09

“all is good as long as trump is in the white house”

most see trump as only a delay to what is coming, not as a solution. think of the delay as a gift of extra time.

    • H P January 31, 2019 at 15:06

Funny, the last bulk purchase of rifle ammunition I made was a few cases on 11/7/16. It hadn’t dawned on me until a few weeks ago when I saw Natchezss offering free shipping on ammo. The effects of post election complacency are real. Great article PM! Love what you guys are doing on this site.

  3. Reasonable Rascal January 31, 2019 at 08:52

A year ago I might have disagreed with the overall timing and even some of the premises. Now, after looking over the past 6 months and less I find myself nodding affirmatively.

If I had to add one task to Patriotman’s plan of action it would be to secure as much as possible financially against the fall. I speak not of diversifying from stocks to real estate holdings and bonds, or stacking Krugerrands. Rather identifying those essential things I need from quality tires to essential health maintenance medications, from hard food rations to a location that allows for increased food production in the form of fruit trees and bushes, a large garden, a decent shop and a bit of added space for a few extra people of good morals and possessive of appropriate skills.

Then all I have to do is find the few extra people, a difficult task in today’s world as so many tend to move on to the next popular thing or chase what is trendy.

Excellent article and following analysis and plan.

    • patriotman January 31, 2019 at 12:56

Stocking up on the essentials is absolutely given – hence why I didn’t mention it. But you are correct to point it out in case passing readers didn’t already think that. Other aspects that I didn’t add because I believed them to be a given and that were pointed out to me were physical conditioning and networking/tribe building. I think all three of those areas are absolutely essential for the coming Storm.

  4. Matt Bracken January 31, 2019 at 09:02

Personally, I’d relocate sooner rather than later, family and girlfriend notwithstanding. If they don’t understand the risk of living in a northeastern blue state when disorder breaks out, or a hard tyranny comes in, there will be no saving them later. It’s time to move, even if that means doing menial jobs for a while. And moving doesn’t have to mean the northwest, there are plenty of like-minded patriotic preppers in the southeast.

    • patriotman January 31, 2019 at 12:51

The Southeast is exactly where I am looking. I used to look towards the American Redoubt, but I have found myself to be more in line with the Appalachian Redoubt folks – especially the ones I have been training witih (coughcough NC Scout coughcough). I am certainly trying to make that relocation a reality. But you are right, it is time to ratchet up the pressure and make it very soon.

      • ConSigCor February 1, 2019 at 11:36

patriotman, I agree with Matt Bracken. Move asap. Come on down to the Appalachian Redoubt. We need all the like minded folks we can find. E.TN, SW VA or western NC all have good places to be during difficult times.

      • Homer May 23, 2019 at 17:28

Patriotman, One thing Ive learned is you cant save the world. Especially if they don’t want to be saved. Work on saving yourself. You are worth that and its not selfish.

        • Patriotman May 23, 2019 at 20:06

That is unfortunately the way I have been trending. I hate it.

    • gman January 31, 2019 at 13:11

      “family and girlfriend notwithstanding”

if you leave them behind, and if later in the camps they’re told “you’ll get extra rations if you tell us about any deplorables you know ….”

      • Matt Bracken January 31, 2019 at 16:42

Good luck finding him when all they can say is “somewhere in the Appalachian mountain states.”

        • gman January 31, 2019 at 19:02

“Good luck finding him when all they can say is”

sure, if that’s all they know.

speaking of mountains – most mountain terrain is simply uninhabitable, and the remainder is quickly surveyed in general by satellite and in detail by drone. anything not on “the grid” will stand out fairly prominently.

          • NC Scout January 31, 2019 at 19:43

Uninhabitable? Literally not true. The expenditure needed to ‘survey’ (you mean surveil) a large mountain range is incredibly high, and it needs to be target focused to even begin to be effective.

            I would know.

          • Matt Bracken February 1, 2019 at 07:25

When disorder breaks out in the cities, the .gov will more than have its hands full attempting to restore order, restock food and fuel supplies etc. Appalachia will be priority zero for the .gov, (even lower than it usually is.) But where the hills and mountains will shine is in being defensible. Groups of marauding hooligans who are unfamiliar with the precise local terrain will be channelized into a thousand Thermopylaes where a handful of local riflemen can hold them off forever. Natural choke points with over watch positions abound. There is a reason why mountain man has become a global synonym for free man.

Took the words directly out of my mouth…

  5. gman January 31, 2019 at 11:56

    “low intensity conflict”

define low intensity. the black-on-white crime rate is pretty high already.

“recession in which 40% of the stock market value disappears”

never happen. on the other hand 40% of individual middle-class citizens’ will disappear.

    “bailout of student loans”

never happen. the purpose of the loans is entrapment.

    “overhauls of entitlement systems”

sure – they’ll be increased, made universal, and made mandatory.

    “anti-gun legislation”

    more likely it’ll be anti-ammo.

    “major demographic shift”

and the sky will be blue. the demographic shift has been ongoing for decades, and will continue. half of all white citizens are age 60 and older. half of all children inside our borders are minority welfare dependents. there’s no non-fatal methods of turning that around.

“democrats control congress and presidency in 2024”

    and perpetually thereafter.

    • H P February 1, 2019 at 12:53

“recession in which 40% of the stock market value disappears

never happen. on the other hand 40% of individual middle-class citizens’ will disappear“

See 2007-2009. One of the two happened.

Patriotman, I understand everything you are going through, been there and done that, still doing it. I would have to agree with Bracken, you will be EXTREMELY hard pressed to survive, let alone well, on the East Coast. NC would be a good choice if you want to stay somewhat regional. My wife and I opted to move to Northern ID, but my family is in TN and my wife’s in AK (yep, total opposites). Relocate, get a job. Work up from there. We still have student loans, we pay the minimum, we want to be debt free and have taken a kind of balanced round robin approach. I’ve been in IT for 13 years now and in the last year and half I got to the level where I can work remotely (thank God), I’m now a DevOps Engineer. But if you are going to try IT then be prepared to live near a medium to large city to hold a job that pays anything, otherwise you will find little work that pay little in the country/small towns. Feel free to ask me any questions about IT. Otherwise your plan is solid. GET MARRIED!

    • patriotman February 5, 2019 at 07:45

Who says marriage isn’t in the plans? :)

Appreciate the offer for advice. And you are describing what I was assuming re: necessarily locales for It work. Thanks for confirming it.

  8. Devin S January 31, 2019 at 13:43

I will add that I believe John Mosby pushes the most realistic view of survival and “prepping”, which is community building an self reliance. The gun fighting stuff, although important for defense, is honestly one of the lower level priorities most people should worry about. Water, food, shelter, medical, defense. Also, when purchasing a place, don’t pretend, be realistic, we bought 7 acres with a mid 90s manufactured home and a partially completed shop in Northern ID for $165k last April, 25 minutes outside a small town. Internet was an issue at first until a local microwave provider built a tower in our area a few months ago (was on horrible satellite before that). Also, don’t let elitists pressure you into buying off grid, most of them are full of it and hypocrites (cheaters). Buy on grid and work toward off grid solar. Use your time wisely, but don’t be pressured into doing everything at once, do what you can and don’t worry about it otherwise. NCScout and JC knows their stuff too.

    • patriotman February 5, 2019 at 07:46

Tribe building may be the most essential piece of the whole puzzle. I didn’t mention it because I am in that process already. But, for anyone reading this, Mosby is essential reading.

  9. sneakybaztard January 31, 2019 at 18:49

great read. i’m thinking of getting arc and torch welding certified next semester. need to have something to fall back on besides IT, for a few reasons. tinted the car windows darker so it’s hard to see that i’m white af in my daily travels. losing fat and boosting endurance with new workouts, and finishing up a dry (booze) January. have a bolt action 308 on order and ammo to add to our existing preps of food, water, and ammo.

    • patriotman February 5, 2019 at 07:47

I am doing 4 months with no alcohol (one cheat weekend in February) so I am right there with ya. And I had looked into welding as well. Good luck with it!

  10. Warpig January 31, 2019 at 19:41

Roger that Patriotman, I think most of us here are in the same situation as you. I may already be in the NC Appy foothills, but still in a suburb. So, land is a priority, but not yet attainable. Baby monkey still has to go to school with other baby monkeys.

As a current IT nerd and recovering scientist, I would suggest you don’t need formal coursework to establish IT credentials. If you need to be in a class to learn, that might make sense, but there is simply an enormous amount of information, resources, and even free online classes available to learn the stuff. IT is a broad field, btw.

But, then you’d be like me, staring at a screen all day, burned out at night, and damn near useless when the juice goes down. My generic advice to people is to cut expenses, learn a trade where you work with your hands, and live simply and fully. Don’t be seduced by the enemy.

    • patriotman February 5, 2019 at 07:49

Yup, sounds like a similar situation. And one benefit of my job at a community college is free classes :) but I do have a lot of other resources on hand. Humble Bundle in particular often has packages of eBooks as their sale bundles and they have great information i.e. networking, programming, etc

  11. June J February 1, 2019 at 08:25

Question about one of your statements, “get myself kitted out first, then the girlfriend“. Are you providing your girlfriend’s “kit” or is she paying for it herself?

    • patriotman February 5, 2019 at 07:48

She is purchasing it – I am just providing the supply list. Wanted to ensure standardization.

  12. Devin S February 2, 2019 at 00:51

I agree with Warpig strongly, a college education for IT work is next to useless. About the only people who care about degrees, or even certs half the time, are HR departments and government employers. I started of crawling under desks and talking calls on helpdesk/service calls for a small company owned by two brothers, I did about 10 years of Desktop Support roles (if I had studied more I would have not had to spend that long doing it) before I got to where I was working exclusively on the backend (not having to fix Outlook and crawling under desks, thank God). My suggestion if you want a really secure job in IT, GET ALL THE SECURITY CERTS, start with Security+ then go from there while trying to get a role, even if it’s helpdesk (will pay crap). But keep on getting those sec certs, it will pay off. Otherwise, AWS everything in the DevOps realm like me. Security roles and DevOps roles are EVERYWHERE and if I put my resume out there recruiters literally fight over me because the need.

  13. Devin S February 2, 2019 at 00:59

Linux Academy is by THE BEST source for IT training/learning. You won’t get a cert for the course except for their unrecognized symbolic one, but still add it to your LinkedIn profile, companies and recruiters search for those keywords and like to see you are learning. Linux Academy courses really help prepare you for certs. I can make a lot more suggestions based on what area you want to go into, but I still suggest InfoSec if you can/want to. DevOps positions are good too, and there is huge need for them, but InfoSec is that much more in demand. Honestly, I may get a InfoSec certs myself and move into the area because they also tend to get roles that are work from home friendly much more easily and pay a lot more earlier on than DevOps. I make good money working remotely (from home) as a DevOps engineer for a healthcare company, but I had to work years to get to that point and God provided me a role out of the blue where most of the tech employees at the company work from home.

  14. James February 2, 2019 at 11:42

I do agree but feel the timing of events getting “chaotic is much closer at hand, all the other ideas of more skills/knowledge is good for every person no matter their outlook on the future and also engages them with more people.

As for leaving the hills of the Hampster refuse even though New England, tis northern part of the state and with most folks away from the cities the northern parts of New England made of for most part of good folks who do just want to be left alone(and leave others alone).Only a raging wildfire/other disaster would get me to leave(and would return as soon as reasonable),otherwise, forces say ,I cannot be here will draw a line in the grounds here and fight for the right to be here.

Are you having problems with your site? I just discovered it and am enjoying it a lot, but find it close to Impossible to pos comments on — It will show down, freeze, time-out — whatever. Could be our dumb, rural, limited broadband service, but I do hope it can be fixed soon. Just now wanted to go into detail about how much gov. schools need conservative teachers and how it’s recession-proof and lets you live anywhere….gave up the details, just printing the bare facts now to see if I can get that posted. (That missing “t” in the word “post” that it won’t let me put the cursor on and fix is one example of problems I’m having.)_

“It is amazing to me how populations who make up such a small amount of the actual population get so much air time and attention. “

Exactly. In January, while chatting with an in-law, she hit the nail on the head: “Who ARE these people? I don’t know anyone like that or anyone who even thinks like that. Everyone I know just wants to raise their kids, do the right thing, lead good lives, and be left alone.”

Hello, regarding the author’s concerns and thoughts on war with China and Russia, recently at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh NC, I was told by a SF instructor I have known for awhile, to expect a coming major war with Russia and China. I thought on hearing the above, that this fellow would be one to have his finger on the pulse of the situation.

    Scout,
Many of us (59 yrs old) wish we had your energy.
An old doomsayer gets shushed-up, he’s got nothing
    positive to add…stuff like that.
Out West, we are more in-our-face aware of the nuclear fallout
reality which has decimated our insects, along with the pesticide
    and antibacterials-fungals-virals, etc., but particularly
the nuke poisoning and death which is, unfortunately, inevitable.
We were taught to trust our tech-education masters, but
in most cases of teachers and industry leaders,
they were either aware-and-lying to us, or totally oblivious
ball-carriers with a nice paycheck, like we have at NM Tech.
Scout, your plannings and writings are admirable,
and a never-was character like me cannot pretend,
must not try to “tag along” with guys that ARE in shape to
maneuver some infantry humps, to not Be There in the
Zeroed-In target zones, Not Wait for fatty-ciggy-face to
barely make it a hundred yards with his pack fully C-rations.
    Scout!
All that is required for massive, irreversible Nuke Death, is
the inevitable Earthquake which disrupts Diablo Canyon,
same design as Fukushima: General Electric Mark One
    Boiling Water Reactor.
Once the coolant pipings are disrupted, the Melt-Down is
a guaranteed certainty, no way around it, and Rad death is upon Cali.
All the Tactics-Schmactics after that are re-arranging Titanic Deck-Chairs.
San Onofre, you can see the photos- they are so desperate
to do something with Waste, that they are burying it right there,
a stones’ throw from the high-tide line.
    It is all foretold.
Chernobyl = Wormwood of Jeremiah 9:15.
If your Bible doesn’t say Wormwood, it is a Big-publishing
dumb-down version like the ESV, now favored by the “Gideons”.
Read it deeply. The Whole Chapter.
The Death came up in our Windows.
Who has the Wisdom to Understand?
Who did this Iniquity, to receive this Plague?
Scout, your Good efforts are to be rewarded in the next life.
    HalleluYah!

At church today I struck up a conversation with a US Navy officer and asked if any in his circle were talking about the possibility of an impending civil war in the US. He was dumbfounded that anyone would talk about such a thing. When I told him that I knew of several who were not only talking but planning he was just flabbergasted and said it was just a bunch of weirdos and extremists.
So I am curious what will go through the mind of the average soldier should America descend into chaos. Will the average soldier just assume that whoever he is told to attack is a defacto “bad guy”? If so then why do so many just assume the military will defect en masse to side with the people?

I don’t believe that there is such a thing as a ‘best place’ to relocate to. I think every state has those areas that could/would be beneficial for anyone seeking to make a change in they’re living arrangements. Regardless, they all have positives and negatives whether it involves job opportunities, resources, weather, or a number of other important issues wherever you choose to go
We all have different circumstances in our lives, different KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) and different demands. Someone in the Fall of their lives like me will need to take that into consideration. Following a ‘cookie cutter’ approach to preparedness likely isn’t doable. As Clint Eastwood once said, “A man needs to know his limitations”. Thats especially relevant as we age. I find myself becoming more of the Grey Man. I see the wave of unpleasantness approaching, and like we do at the beach we dive underneath and let it pass overtop us. Regardless of our individual circumstances, we all can practice that strategy. Listen and learn as much as you are able…. but keep you mouth shut about it. :-)
