The loss of heat from convection should not be underestimated. Learn from the hammock campers. It can be done; but you must be smart about it. I’ve slept in a hammock in the 20s; but insulation “UNDER” the hammock (or platform in this case) is a must. In the set up shown on the video I would probably stuff the gap between the liners and the grabber blanket as well. Then maybe try to get a seal with the plastic sheeting.
