Side hobby to blow off steam is racing karts. At big multi-day national events, I’ll camp out at the race track if allowed and most still allow it and sit down, boil up some water, stare at my dirty racing kart and have a meal, reliving all the moments in the races and practice that happened previously in the day. Doesn’t just have to be a camp or hunt or training out in the woods or SHTF.

I never used to consider these items for long term food prep.I have shelves packed with longer term foods that I rotate thru but if I had to leave right away would not have the time or space in any of me vehicles to move it all.I could though throw in some buckets quickly into vehicle and be on my way.Sure,have a few cases of Datrex bars and while would be grateful to have them a few hot meals would go a long way towards keeping me spirits up.I also see these as a good cache item in some rarely visited cabin ect. were regular rotation not on the top of list.

I will say the cabin being visited a lot more the last year and is really shaping up.
