Description:
In 1986 the U.S. Congress passed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (“NCVIA”) which established the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). The VICP is a specialized program where individuals may seek compensation for injuries that occur from administration of a qualified vaccine. Currently, injuries due to the COVID-19 vaccines are not covered under the VICP, but these claims can be brought under the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (“CICP”). This webinar will provide background on the VICP and important information on the requirements and workings of the VICP and the CICP.
