Request for Information (RFI) – Weekly SITREP
I am going to make this a weekly post so that we can use this as a place to make any reports on unusual activity or localized hotspots of trouble. We did this a few times during COVID (here, here, here, and here) but I figured that, as our conditions continue to degrade around the country, it would be useful to bring this back as a regularly recurring topic of discussion.
Post your reports in the comments below.

Any additional observations or comments: Been noticing this more and more, homeless is up, been present in other parts of the state, but more noticeable on this side of the state. Tents going up along the Mississippi R and any land owned by Local Government, State, and Federal. Along with it heaps of trash. And many of the small towns in area, that had empty buildings, now filled with hispanics.
AO: southern greece
only a quick report. still haven’t gotten a chance to do an RF emissions scan on the new LED streetlights that have popped up in this area, but one new datapoint on price inflation in foodstuffs, the price of butter (real fresh butter from animals, not margarine etc) is now around eur 14 / kilo or about $7/pound.
Last year it was around 10, two years ago about 8, three years ago around 7.
fuel prices have ticked a tiny bit down. petrol around 1.95-2.35 / liter, diesel 1.85-2.05 / liter. heating oil 1.45 -1.50. haven’t yet bought kerosene to see where that price went this year.

General Location: Upper New England
Food Price / Shortages: Elevated/None
Fuel Prices / Shortages: Regular gas is still trending down. A low of $3.29 Gal was observed
Ammo Prices/ Shortages: Prices remain high in retail settings for most calibers. 5,56 is not short, but it does move quickly.
Unusual Military Movement:
The Airlift to the war zones continues. A Ukrianian AN-124 entered US airspace headed southwesterly over Vermont. It had turned on its transponder before landfall in Labrador Canada.
Civil Unrest / Crime:
+Another attempted home invasion trying to pass itself off as squatting took place near Portland Maine. The perps broke into a home and set up a tent in the basement. Police treated the incident as a trespass case and ultimately only arrested them after there was an assault on an officer.
+Recent publicity on the massive Chicom marijuana grow operations in Maine has led to a police raid on an industrial scale operation in a former shoe factory in Wilton Maine, where a million $ in pot was seized. No arrests were made, and it appears to have only included local law enforcement. US Customs and Homeland Security have been aware of the illegal operation for some time without taking any action.
+ The Burlington Vermont man who shot 3 Palestinian college students las week has been identified. His social media background suggests a mixed bag of political views, some of which are contradictory. He has expressed anarchist, libertarian, and “anti-racist” views on multiple occasions over the years.
+ 2 homeless persons died in separate tent fires in Southern Maine in the last week as winter sets in. Cities throughout the region and scrambling around to set up shelters for homeless and illegal aliens.
+ The Border Patrol arrested “up to” 20 Romanian nationals who entered the country illegally in multiple SUV vehicles last week in the Houlton Maine sector. AT least 2 of the individuals have known ties to Romanian organized crime.
Interesting Local News / Events:
Harvard University is under Federal investigation claiming it “discriminated against students on the basis of their national origin (shared Jewish ancestry and/or Israeli) when it failed to respond appropriately to reports of incidents of harassment”, in the aftermath of the Gaza war and local protests.
Public Service Interruptions: None
Changes in Patterns of Life: None
Any additional observations or comments: None
General Location: S Central Missouri Ozarks
Food Price / Shortages: Prices are up, but I have not noticed any shortages. There is a bit of front loading the shelves to make them seem fuller though. Turkeys seemed to max out at about 15 pounds this year…. couldn’t find any bigger.
Fuel Prices / Shortages: Diesel is down…. between 3.50 and 4.10 a gallon, depending on where you buy. The truck stops along the major highways seem to be much higher than just inside town.
Firewood does not seem to be as available as it was 45 days ago. I guess most folks are either set for the winter, of they are going to scrounge.
Unusual Military Movement: None. It’s not typical to see military activity in this AO.
Civil Unrest / Crime: Nothing outside the norm… mostly drug related or bored rednecks doing bored redneck shit.
Interesting Local News / Events: None to speak of. Modern rifle season just ended.
Public Service Interruptions: None.
Changes in Patterns of Life: None.
Any additional observations or comments: The seasons have certainly changed. We have had a few cold snaps now, and winter is upon us.
I want to expand on the pattern of people at the gym at 5 AM. The reason I brought that up before after election day is that I am usually at the gym that early during the week, and that on Wednesdays it tends to not be so busy.
Since the elections, gym activity has had an uptick. In the interest of trying to see what has driven that, I decided to wear some colors at the gym. Mainly, a Hansen 13 shirt with a Cascadian flag on the shoulder I got from Clay Martin’s people
The response was rather positive. Some people knew the book, others were more inquisitive but in a good way. Interestingly enough, when the subject of elections and political candidates came up, most of those I spoke with tended to prefer DeSantis and Vivek on principle but know that the game is more or less already decided. Popular sentiment behind Trump, and the more corporatist/establishment sentiment behind Nimrata. Hence, the hitting the gym just a bit harder than before. No one even remotely believes that the elections will be free, fair, and that voting will solve a damn thing. It was a breath of fresh air reality, to be quite frank when speaking with my fellow peeps who were lifting and running and all.
I’d say there is a disconnect between the grassroots media and the grassroots to a point. Not as far as say, FOX and OAN to the grassroots, but a much more sober and realistic view compared to the usual outlets waving the pom poms and telling you that voting next year will solve all the world’s problems.
Probably why a gym membership and hitting it regularly is probably every bit as important as say, hoarding food.
The demographic of the people who are more or less of the same mindset, mostly under 45 and everyone can look down and see their toes without a struggle, lol.
