Request for Information (RFI) – Weekly SITREP
I am going to make this a weekly post so that we can use this as a place to make any reports on unusual activity or localized hotspots of trouble. We did this a few times during COVID (here, here, here, and here) but I figured that, as our conditions continue to degrade around the country, it would be useful to bring this back as a regularly recurring topic of discussion.

Gas $2.81/gal
General Location: Upper New England
Food Price / Shortages: Elevated/None
Fuel Prices / Shortages: Regular continues to drop. It is around $3.29
Unusual Military Movement:
None really. The airlift to the war zones is the most visible activity, and it is much reduced in the last few weeks. Fort Drum NY has been busy off and on with large numbers of Blackhawks and Chinooks operating at night. Likely just planned training.
Civil Unrest / Crime:
Daily episodes of the homeless and down and out crime wave continue. EMS radio traffic is full of calls for shoplifting, breaking and entering, public unruliness, impaired driving, road rage, and leaving the scene of an accident, and operating unregistered automobile, etc. Also there appears to be an uptick in domestic violence calls.
Interesting Local News / Events:
The Mayor of Boston was planning a “Legislatures of Color Only” Christmas party for politicians in the city who are not white. Her incompetent staff accidentally sent invites to everyone. Predictably. the white Communist party members who were supposed to be getting the Charlie Brown treatment said they were not offended.
Public Service Interruptions: Some regional flooding has put some roads out of service.
Changes in Patterns of Life: None
Any additional observations or comments: None
