Request for Information (RFI) – Weekly SITREP

I am going to make this a weekly post so that we can use this as a place to make any reports on unusual activity or localized hotspots of trouble. We did this a few times during COVID (here, here, here, and here) but I figured that, as our conditions continue to degrade around the country, it would be useful to bring this back as a regularly recurring topic of discussion.

Post your reports in the comments below.

    General Location: Southern AZ

Food Price / Shortages: Prices up like everywhere else. / No shortages.

Fuel Prices / Shortages: Reg is $2.95-$3.39 depending on where you go. / No shortages.

Unusual Military Movement: Nothing unusual. Same usual air traffic out of DM AFB.

Civil Unrest / Crime: No unrest except at the border. / Crime is slowly going up in Tucson. Illegal immigration is rampant and coming to a town near you.

Interesting Local News / Events: Lukeville port of entry will reopen to Americans. It remained open for illegal aliens the whole time. Members of a drug cartels were having battles with the Mexican military in Sonoyta (Mexican side of Lukeville) which is abnormal as the Mexican military usually keeps that secure as it’s part of the route for clueless Americans to drive down to Rocky Point. The closure forced clueless Americans to drive a lot further through Mexico which put them in many dangerous areas and a few have been shot at and I believe a few died as a result.

Drug cartels also took over the town of Sasabe Sonora and ran most of the people out of it. Mexican military may have retaken it but it’s not clear as it’s a lot smaller than Sonoyta and generally nobody gives a damn about it. On the American side of the wall East of Sasabe Arizona the local “do-gooders” (all NGO’s with lots of government cash) have been busy helping illegals cross the border through sections of the wall that have been removed by Border Patrol. Search X (Twitter) for “Ben Bergquam Sasabe” for a great video showing the Communists welcome the illegals into a squalor camp on the US side and you will see some of the wall removed. Border Patrol is playing welcoming committee and will not respond if you spot illegals North of the border who haven’t given up to them at the wall. These would be the illegals smuggling drugs or criminals who know they will be deported if they are arrested. As long as they don’t do something stupid which gets them arrested by local LEO’s who call Border Patrol; they are basically home free.

The fraudulently elected Governor Hobbs has sent the National Guard to the border so they can help Border Patrol process illegals. They aren’t there to enforce the law. It’s a good public relations win for Hobbs as people just hear “The governor is sending the National Guard to the border!” and they think that means they will enforce the law.

    Public Service Interruptions: None.

Changes in Patterns of Life: None.

Any additional observations or comments: Watch what charities you donate to. Catholic Community Services of Southern AZ and the American Red Cross are both in on the illegal smuggling.

Civil unrest/Crime: Increase in homeless people and property crime. Nothing near the levels it was in Philly though. Not even close.

    Additional observations and comments:

    1) In terms of RF emissions, there have been more digital communications across the spectrum, mainly LE communications. There have been an increase in those transmissions, and it seems there is a steady yet slow migration away from the analog dispatch. Now, the interesting thing about this is once they are talking encrypted digital, they key up a lot. A lot more than when they were just on their analog freq. I’m using this to practice direction finding then signals, based on strength and have been able to get rough bearings on the emission sources. Nothing much in a lot of the other bands and freqs, whether it’s HF or Airband, or FRS/GMRS. The Quansheng is proving to be a pretty decent sigint tool and compliments the tiny sa and rtl-sdr nicely.

    2) Now, people are getting to the gym a lot more and that has increased in a good way. It’s all been the good side as well. Not much in the way of lefties/antifa types. There are two who are questionable, and one has neck tattoos.. so that’s of interest to me. Neck tattoos are a red flag.

Re; RF emissions. Very interesting. Do you suspect the digital RF traffic is local law enforcement or someone else?

    General Location: Upper New England

    Food Price / Shortages: Elevated/None

Fuel Prices / Shortages: steady at about $3.29 Gal for Reg

    Unusual Military Movement: None

    Civil Unrest / Crime:

The alt media expose of the massive illegal Chicom Marijuana grow operations in Maine has led to a sudden increase in enforcement raids with 3 or 4 properties raided in the last 2 weeks. The local police seem to be taking a lead in this effort as the DEA and others do nothing.

Portland Maine has “swept” the last large illegal homeless camp within the city after. Local Communist agitators, The Democratic Socialists of Maine, tried to disrupt the action by parking their private autos bumper to bumper in front of the camp, and by forming a human chain seeking arrest. The city cleared these obstacles and dismantled the camp.

Democratic Socialists of Maine also conducted a 2nd protest outside of Bath Iron works in support of Gaza.

Bomb threats were made against the Maine State capital on the opening day of the legislative session. The building was evacuated and nothing was found. The same threats were also made against many other state capitals across the country.
