Request for Information (RFI) – Weekly SITREP

I am going to make this a weekly post so that we can use this as a place to make any reports on unusual activity or localized hotspots of trouble. We did this a few times during COVID (here, here, here, and here) but I figured that, as our conditions continue to degrade around the country, it would be useful to bring this back as a regularly recurring topic of discussion.

Post your reports in the comments below.

    Food Price / Shortages: Elevated/None

    Fuel Prices / Shortages: Elevated. $3.40 – $4.60 gal reg/ None

    Unusual Military Movement: None

    Civil Unrest / Crime:

130 were arrested at U-Mass Amherst anti-Israel rally.

There have been a few serious police responses to illegal activity that saw the Maine State Police SWAT team deployed. The most serious episode involved an individual cutting firewood illegally who took a couple of shots at a responding Forest Service ranger. 2 Helicopters, the SWAT team, and an armored car wee deployed to the scene before the subject was arrested. There appears to be a tendency for police to immediately call for massive firepower backup when dealing with armed suspects here in Maine since the Lewiston shootings last year.

Police have broken up a massive drug ring in southern Maine operated by Afghan immigrant teenagers. Amir Gul-Mohammad and his brother Nor Gul-Mohammad. both have been arrested multiple times in the last year for felony drug trafficking and related criminal activity to include a drive-by shooting. Somehow or other this pair remain at liberty and armed with an assortment of firearms. At least five properties were searched and three unidentified 17-year-old males were also arrested along with the seizure of multiple handguns, a shotgun, nearly half a kilogram of cocaine, and more than $45,000.

A man who caused a four-car accident in April, leaving an Maine woman dead and her husband in critical condition, had entered the United States illegally from Mexico in January. Oguzhan Cildir, 23 was driving erratically and weaving among other cars when the crash took place. He has no driver’s license and the car was unregistered. York County District Attorney Kathryn Slattery has been reluctant to pursue charges against him, potentially due to Cildir facing deportation if charged with a crime. An innocent woman is dead. I can count at least 6 crimes, including multiple felonies, and the most important thing to the DA is that he not be charged or deported.

Interesting Local News / Events: None

    Public Service Interruptions: None

    Changes in Patterns of Life:
Maine has an increasing Amish population in many rural areas of the state. This has led to a series of unfortunate traffic accidents with horse drawn buggies on rural roads.

    AO: southern greece

prices etc, not much change from last week. fuel prices , gasoline EUR 2.10-2.40/liter , diesel 1.80-2/liter, kerosene EUR60/18 liter can, propane/lng EUR33/15 kilo refill.

one item in the news to mention, the lawfare against opposition parties continues here, the only not totally fake and controlled opposition party continues to be hounded with most of their former MPs etc kept in prison on bogus charges. One of their MEPS (member of the potemkin european parliament in strasbourg) has just had another ‘investigation’ done attempting to fatch him at even the smallest indiscretion on spending his MEP stipends/travel allowances/etc… the part, usually called golden dawn, was largely permitted because their leader was an over the top clown figure always fixating on neo-nazi symbols and the like. However the real meat and potatoes of the party is not skinhead but frustrated working class people who have no other voice. But probably part of the silent agreement to let them exist was that they would provide the visual imagery of the boogeyman. A decade ago they were polling way ahead to win the mayor of athens, which was far too ‘real’ and public an office for the ruling class to allow to fall into the hands of opposition, especially opposition who wasnt really under control. In the same election they entered parliament for the first time going from 0 to about a dozen seats. The ruling class freaked out and cooked up a scandal wherein a popular leftist rapper was stabbed in a bar fight, with the killer not fleeing but instead staying on the scene shouting over and over how he did this on the direct orders of all the leadership of that specific party. Oddly the killer had formerly been a recorded member of the (primary, in gr there are many communist parties) communist party, but that’s been well forgotten. Immediately all the officials (including most of their MPs, an unprecedented occurrence) were imprisoned on some flimsy conspiracy conviction. there was no evidence that the killer had any connection to the party aside from his ‘confession’ but thats all they needed. Meanwhile, the clownish leader of the party did play his clown role of putting his foot in his mouth at every opportunity. One of their MPs who was always the civilized brains in the organization, who had spent from pretty much day one his time as an MP, hauling ministerial officials into inquiry panels asking about one financial irregularity after another.. he made no friends in high places acting like that, for sure. he then went and founded his own party, which was in the last year general elections , polling at around 20% of the total vote.. meanwhile he had been running his whole campaign from prison, because even after the original sentences were up they kept him locked up on other totally bogus charges, which never seem to end as they just come up with something new when the term comes up. nonetheless, he was looking very likely to not only enter parliament but possibly even be part of a coalition government. so at the last minute they got the highest court to ban him and his party from participating in the elections (a totally illegal move, but who’s keeping score anymore?), and then, very pleased with themselves at their successful banning of about 20% of the vote, in the next round of elections (local officials) they also banned any other candidates who they claimed were ‘secretly being directed by’ the now banned party. A last-minute shift of many , youd call them alt-right type candidates to a newly formed party which did get into parliament, has now been banned and they have been ‘investigating’ both the MPs and MEPs for anything they can possibly dream up to try to disqualify or even evict them.
In recent weeks there has been a renewed effort in this department. Just an indication, the surreal lawfare you see now going on in the states, is considered standard issue in europe.

      That is an insane read….

We aren’t far off here. Looks like our parties are taking copious notes from Europe.

Thanks for the excellent reports as always!

hah, yeah, it’s insane for sure. i tried to condense it as much as possible, but you know how this kind of thing goes, you pull on one thread and the whole thing starts unravelling on you.
in the states they still have to do a lot of awkward acrobatics to get around constitutional limitations. in most of europe there is no such thing.. constitutions in european governments dont play the same role as they do in the us..
one of the few good things we have is, that most of the society still maintains informal and family connections and people still have some connection to their direct roots in a specific village where their parents came from or some of us even still live in our native ground. so many years of poverty and getting f**ed by the system has kept a stronger barter economy going, even though its all on a laughably tiny bare-subsistence level of scale. the human connections are there and i think stronger than in a lot of places. until very recently gr was a very high trust society, which partly explains why the ruling class gets a free pass on so much fuckery.. most people still cannot truly accept that it’s anything outside of a traditional patronage structure, and cannot shake themselves out of either their voting patterns or their perceived patronage loyalties..
overall i’d rather be in the states.
